The Synchronist Project
The Synchronist Project (TSP) is the Institute’s research program and working corpus: a trans-epistemic system of knowledge and action conceived by the Institute’s founder more than three decades ago and developed as his full-time work since 2016.
TSP is organized in two chapters — Thinking, structured as an architecture of interconnected research programs, and Acting, the system’s proposals for carrying developed ideas responsibly into practice. The corpus is considerably broader than any single funded phase of the Institute’s work; it serves as the living testbed on which the Institute’s instruments for building and auditing Knowledge and Action Systems are developed and demonstrated. Its principal parts are these.
Prolegomena
The general introductory discussion of the whole: the project’s aims and history, the case for trans-epistemic systemicity, and the themes that weave the corpus together.
The Clusters
The main sets of discipline-like thinking programs, spanning the system’s range from first principles to prospective design: Foundations; Philosophies; Social Synchrony Theory; Integrated Social Sciences; Transition Disciplines; and Post-Capitalist Solutions. Every part of the corpus — including its most prospective — is developed under the same discipline: declared commitments, continuous coherence accounting, and exposure to structured adversarial review.
The Positions
The system’s reasoned standpoints on themes of special relevance and current interest — among them capitalism and democracy, science and technology, religion, sustainability and climate, and geopolitics.
The Acting Organizations
Conceptual designs for the organizational vehicles through which the system’s developed proposals would enter practice. Integrare Institute is itself the first such organization — and, for now, the only one in operation.
TSP and the Institute’s pilot
The Institute’s proposed first funded program does not attempt the whole. It formalizes the KAS concept, builds the instruments — operational layout, coherence accounting with an entailment registry, and an evaluation framework incorporating commissioned adversarial critique — and demonstrates them end-to-end on one bounded subprogram of this corpus. The instruments will be openly licensed, so that what is learned here can be used, adapted, and contested by others.
